Georgia United aides the community they serve with services like feeding the community, a toy drive during Christmas and more.
Service is built into our culture at Georgia United and our Foundation. Our goal is to positively impact the lives of our members, team members and communities we serve. Together, we can make a difference.
For Team Day 2020 in February, over 370 Georgia United team members selected 25 local 501(c)(3) organizations they wished to serve. The credit union’s Foundation allocated funds for each of the charities and encouraged their team members to leverage the resources in a manner they felt would make the biggest impact. Team members provided a variety of support to their chosen charities.
To show appreciation for frontline workers, Georgia United Foundation and Georgia United Credit Union launched a Healthcare Heroes initiative to provide care packages to seven community hospital partners. As part of the initiative, a monetary donation was made to the Whitfield Healthcare Foundation to help purchase supplies, including eye cooling masks and compression socks, for frontline workers at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton.
Each year, the Georgia United Foundation partners with Georgia United Credit Union to offer its School Crashers program to accredited K-12 schools in Georgia. The School Crashers grant program is designed to unite communities, donors and volunteers to complete and support local improvement projects for deserving schools.
Georgia United is very helpful to the community. I always see them giving back, helping young students who are in school and helping young families. Georgia United is a great credit union that I love.
