School Crashers is our school makeover program, helping to transform learning environments in schools across Georgia. Each year, we pick several schools for significant improvement projects, from creating new sensory rooms to revitalizing media centers. The goal? To enhance learning spaces for students and teachers alike.
One of our largest financial education initiatives is our partnership with Junior Achievement (JA) of Georgia to educate middle school students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial well-being through experiential, hands-on programs at discovery centers across the state.
To assist students in continuing their education, Georgia United Foundation funds several local scholarship opportunities including our annual Scholarship Competition for graduating high school seniors, continuing education scholarships for educators, county Reach scholarships and scholarships specifically for students at Dalton State and Historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
Our annual Wish Tree program brings holiday cheer to children in need. During November and December, we collect new toys and clothing to distribute through local organizations like the Division of Family & Children Services. By fulfilling these wish lists, we ensure that every child experiences the joy of the holiday season.
