Georgia United Pledges to Help Fight Hunger

Jun 2, 2020

DULUTH, GA -During these unprecedented times, food banks across Georgia are feeling the pressure to meet the needs of those negatively impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In March alone, area food banks experienced a demand increase of almost 40 percent. Georgia United Credit Union understands many are facing financial difficulties and has pledged to help fight food insecurity in their local communities through their Fight Hunger campaign.

Georgia United’s Fight Hunger campaign is hosted on their Facebook account and open to the public. With every fight-hunger post made, the credit union will donate one dollar to local community food banks, up to $5,000 maximum. The Fight Hunger campaign details are found at Facebook.com/GeorgiaUnitedCU and look for the hashtags #fighthunger #inthistogether #creditunionscarechallenge #GUCUcares.
