Supporting education is one of the foundation’s cornerstones, and this new scholarship program pays homage to the credit union’s roots because Georgia United was founded in 1958 as the DeKalb County Teachers Federal Credit Union. Thach, the scholarship’s namesake, is vice chairman of Georgia United’s Board of Directors.

“As we introduce our latest initiative supporting educators in their pursuit of advanced degrees, we reaffirm our commitment to continuing education,” said Foundation Program Manager Haven Beavers. “Through these scholarships, we aim to foster excellence in teaching and enrich the learning experience for generations to come.”
